Default Rattle in center dash speaker...

Here's the deal:

--Only happens on a hot day.

--Only happens with strong bass.

--Only happens when volume is more than 25.

--Only that one single speaker; no others involved.

Easy fix, or should I just bring it to the dealer?

Do it yourself, just get the areas insulated well.

no more bumping boy bands for you, dr. phil. /OT

take it to the dealer and have them take care of it as a warranty issue.

Take it to the dealer but be ready to take it to them multiple times. My center speaker rattles when I go over bumpy roads, etc. It goes away when I push down directly onto the speaker grille. I have taken it to them twice and it still persists. But I know for a fact that this can be cured; others on the forum have gotten rid of it.

I have the same exact problem! It does seem more apperant when it is colder outside. No luck with the dealer either. I've heard that it can be fixed, but that the whole dash needs to be taken out to install some padding on the clips where the window and firewall meet. I hope someone finds a solution !!

I have the same issue, along with a pop/crack sound in the front by the center vents. I need to get off my *** one day and try to fix it myself (i don't want the dealer pulling my dash apart)

I had this problem and it is fairly easy to fix. Pop open the panel covering the speaker and you will see a few pegs. line them with felt and just do some trial and error. You can't really line everywhere because it simply wont fit. It took me about an hour of trial and error and it was fixed.

Pegs on the cover itself? or pegs in the holes somewhere?

on the cover itself. there are like 4 of them i think. just go around the edge of the peg, dont actually wrap the whole thing in felt. IF that doesnt work, just slowly line additional parts of the cover that you think will make the noise until it stops.
