i ran over a large plastic bag. and the plastic melted on the pipe. i didnt my best to remove 60% of the plastic. any tips or thing i can do to get rid of the rest. im just using a blade to remove it helphelphelp
Its not really a big deal, I get a lot of the cars at the dealer I work with plastic bags being melted on, I just use a paint scrapper to take it off, and if its an aftermarket exhaust I just spray some wd-40 and let it rest for a couple of minutes then try to wipe it off with a shop rag so I dont scratch the crap out of it. But the scraping method works best IMO.
Man I was driving down the freeway home a few days ago and a car ahead of my in the left lane ran over a white plastic bag and blew it into my lane right in front of me. Well of course I drove right into it. So whenever I run over a bag on the on the road I always watch in my review mirrors to make sure it come out the other end... Well this time it didnt. So I drove home the rest of the way worrying that the stupid things was melted to my exhaust. Luckily it turned out that it was just stuck to my front grill which got a lot of funny looks from people as I drove by.
lol the pastic bag curse returns... got it all over my x pipe.. gonna try acetone? or wd40 and steel wool "000" so it doesnt scratch. any other suggestions?
