depending on the wheel, all chrome is kinda ghetto (depending on the rim)
chrome lips, yes
polished is also nice but a pain to keep shiny.
chrome lips and brushed or color matched face is what i prefer

Buying rims is a personal decision. If you love chromies then get them because what is popular doesn't really matter.
Personally I'd like some eighteen inch 542Rs with brushed and anodized center with a polished lip but am I going to pay HRE $2,000 per to make them for me? No way!
