My buddy has a salvaged IS350 with something like 20k miles on it. It has a salvage title due to a driver's side fire (dropped a cigarette), but otherwise is sound. It's been completely restored since.

How much should he expect to get from it?

well there was one guy on these boards who bought a salvaged title for 16k, but thats with some heavy damage to the car. not sure how much more you would get if the car is in working condition.

^^ thanks for the input. The thing is, it hasn't really been in a real accident, the interior was damaged and restored. Everything's in complete working order!

it all depends... it has a salvaged title... now if you're willing to drive it for ten years then i'd say get it for 4k less than what edmunds list. If you're going to sell it w/i 3 years... i'd only buy it salvaged if it was 10k less than what edmunds list.

Why salvaged after an interior fire? Was it significant damage that it caused the whole car to be salvaged? Sounds weird...
