$4000 Dilemma....
~$4k - Laser eye surgery (I'm nearsighted, and its quite bad at -6.50 on both eyes)
OR
~$3k - PIAA 19" Super Rozza (and tires)
~$1k - Sub/Amp: JL 12" w6v2
JL 500/1
custom fiberglass box

Car parts, because I am afraid of laser surgery. My insurance will cover it and I still won't get it because I have heard of adverse affects such as tear ducts being damaged.

i did both. enrolled in my company's health care spending account where they take out 367 a month from my paycheck. paid for lasik n got it done in january. got reimbursed by the spending account in february. used the reimbursement money and bought wheels in may.
but if you have to choose one, i'd pick lasik. i'm very satisfied with the way my lasik came out. i'm at 20/15 and could even see 2 letters from the 20/10 line! i was at -7.0 and -7.5 before so i was pretty damn blind. and also it does mess with your tear ducts so you always gotta use eye drops but that'll eventually go away in a year.

I'm one of the horror stories about lasik. Anybody that wants more details can PM me and I'll share my experience. I think it's good for certain people, but definitely not right for others...
BTW, $4K to $6K is definitely the going rate for the reputable names in the field. This is one area where you don't go bargain hunting on too much, because even with a top guy doing your procedure (as I did), there can be real risks...
