& a PT, at least you moved up! Many people with PTs name them and think that for 13k they purchased a "custom car". Oh and BTW my 65 yr. old aunt aka cat lady has one named "pretty tilly"

Never had someone in a PT road rage me, I don’t think any owners in the demographics of road rager’s would own one. nuff said

OH! But I did have one with a turbo try to drag me in my Sti, I got a kick out of that.

And we don't need AWD drive for the cold months of the year. In fact, we can run summer tires year round. IMHO, it really sucks to live in the snow/salt belt. I'll never do it again if I can avoid it.

off thread just for a second... are summer tires alright if it snows ONCE (maybe...JUST maybe 3 times) a year?

Only if you either: a) don't drive during those times; or b) don't mind spinning out of control during those times. Your tires don't care whether it snows once annually or every day...they're not made for it.

Completely unrelated to what you wrote there but...

I hate most lexus drivers because they all drive frigging slow in the fast lane.
Unfortunately majority are just old people..
Then there is the occasional women in IS350 doing 58mph in 60mph speed zone's fast lane...

Hell yeah brother, e-highfive

And for the summer tires in the snow: IMO it is not worth the performance hit of A/S or snow tires when it will only benefit you 5-10 days/year. Just work from home that day, take a sick day, or drive very carefully. Driving in the snow with winter tires, though not advisable, is not the end of the world. I've done it on more than one occasion in sleet, slush and up to 2" of snow. I avoid it if possible, but if you know what you are doing it's not the death sentence that some people make it out to be.

FYI, grew up in the NE, so I do have experience.
