I was sooo pissed last year when I bought my 07 IS250 on 12/16/06. I went to the dealer negociated $1k under invoice. Spectacular deal at that time and still is.
A week later after I purchased my car I forgot that I had that coupon in my email inbox!! I was sooo pissed because then I would of gotten $1750 BELOW invoice. MSRP: Is $35,222. That would of came out to $29,436 BEFORE tax.
I still cant get over that.

GNG, think about it this way, an IS250 with premium package and spoiler goes for $29,805, invoice price. Most dealers, at least here in CA, are selling the IS250's for around $1k below invoice which would make it $28,805 and it's still possible to get it lower. With ttl, add 10% on top of it so that would be $31,685. If you want, you can try and haggle it to $31,000 but either way, it's better than $34,625.

In CA, almost all Lexus dealerships would take $1k off of invoice price. It's reall not that difficult. Some people even get $250-$500 off invoice price once they walk in the dealership. Just ask and haggle, stand up to the price you want and don't be afraid to walk out the door when you don't get the deal you want.
Sorry i'm not familiar with dealerships in San Diego but most dealerships should be able to give you that deal.

Ya I'm in Socal and was wondering which dealership right now will give the best deal. Is it possible to get one for like $1500 under invoice? Is Longo Lexus or Newport Lexus the ones with best deals? I've emailed a few and I'm waiting for quotes. If anyone can recommend any others in OC, Riverside, or SD that would be great.

When I bought my 2007 IS250 in December. A haggled $1k below invoice. MSRP on my car was $35,222. I bought it for $30,186. ($1k below invoice).
No way an IS250 Auto, premium package is $28,805 with $1k below invoice. Maybe you were talking about the manual version.

Are you sure this is accurate?

If you build it on kbb.com a 07 IS250 with Premium, Spoiler, Trunk Mat, Cargo Net, Wheel Locks has a invoice of $29,813 (MSRP $34,032). However, since on Lexus's site the premium packages have additional options included. So for me the premium pkg which includes all the above also includes Bi-xenon lamps and 18" summer tires which add $3437 to the cost. So my MSRP would be $35,627. The lowest premium pkg includes the Bi-xenon lamps and 18" tires which adds $2885 to the price (MSRP $35,075). So based on that I don't know if I will be able to find one with MSRP of 34,032 (w/ those options) in my area. I think the cars come with thos extra options as well.

Guys,
I am right on the verge of trading up my IS300 for a IS250. There is a Taste of Lexus event coming up in LA. I read someone on this board refer to a discount coupon given at the event? True? I don't live in LA, but I'll drive there to Taste if it means getting a better discount on the car. BTW, I have on OTD price quoted from a local dealer. Don't know if it's cool to post that number or not, but really curious if the price is a good deal or not.

In CA, you can get IS about $1000 below invoice.
