IS250 = females, IS350 = males. Sounds sexist but please do not get mad, this is what I see on the roads in my area. There are IS's everywhere and mostly driven by young asian women. I've asked a few of my lady friends and they think the car is pretty and cute. Lol, if your a dude you will never want anybody to use those words to describe your car. I am in the southern California area in case anyone is wondering.

 

in my area in southern cali, i see more moms or females driving hummers/h2/h3, but i live in bro country, so and hummer is the rolls royce of suvs.

the issue is you simply can not toss the ISx50 into a subject like this...

first of all there is no "X" when it comes to certain subject matters. YOU MUST state the model ogf 2gen IS you are refering to.

well there is a very obvious difference between the IS250 and the IS350....

so when it comes to questions like suspension , ride feel, general look of the car.. etc? Yes you can ask the question and put the "ISx50" as the subject matter

HOWEVER when asking things like for example i saw a thread a while ago that said " things you would want in your ISx50?" (or something there of) some people put "more power"---majority of whom were 250 owners...so you cant ask the questions of power or speed or accelleration, etc etc...without being specific on which IS you are referring to the 250 or 350.

people give Lexus crap because they are not known for performance...but people are out there getting smoked by IS350's day in and day out...most of whom are shocked that they got spanked.
I have had to let a few G35's check out my tail lights for a while to prove a point....it is simply not believable yet in the enthusiast world that yes LEXUS now has something that will whoop up on ya!

to be honest with you...all entry level luxury vehicles are going to be considered chick cars...

ie. audi a4, mb c-class, vw jetta...the list goes on.

This is typically because girls do not spend a considerable amount of money on their vehicles...not to be stereotypical but cars is a guys thing...no offense to women who like automobiles i have nothing against it...im just saying in general men spend more on vehicles then women...

 

Not here in L.A. I'd say the break-down I've seen is 75% male, 20% female, and 5% alien.

 

chicks are not yet allowed to drive in Saudi so even mini coopers and beetles cannot be considered chick cars over here but yea the IS is loved by the ladies... u say chick-car, I hear chick-magnet

ahaha chick's car, eh? Well ... if the IS350 comes in AWD I will def. get it! I'm a girl and really I don't see why certain cars are consider a girl and dude's car. I find the IS very sexy since the 1st gen IS300 ... I was going to get the BMW 335xi but then I don't really like the BMW's interior, I find Lexus' interior much nicer. Also the BMW dealer I went to had sucky customer service but I thank them for being like that or else I would of bought the 335xi ahaha

I went with the 250 because it has AWD and really I don't care for speed/power because it will only bring cops pulling me over, I know sometimes I can't control myself with a powerful vehicles lolz I just want a reliable and sexy looking vehicle that I liked.

 

yes the is350 or 250 is probbly a girls car but dont girls have better taste than guys anyways///. my friend got a cls and i see most girls driving that car also...

Is there a difference between 250 and 350 exteriorily speaking? If not, than whoever say the 250 is a girls car and 350 is a male's car is retarded.

As some already mentioned, there is no distinguishing between power of a car with gender of driver. If anything color would be the best indicator.

 

I have a different opinion...as majority of women do not care about power and speed of a vehicle...where as many men do... so the power does play a factor.

most men if the IS350 and 250 both came with 6mt's and AWD...many men would rather own a 350 based on the "ballz" it has.

I think color is the dumbest indicator --unless the IS came in PINK and BLUE only--and you got a pink one...I mean people who say you have a chick car based on color are the retarded ones
