These cars are geared towards the younger market so it wouldn't make sense to call it a girlie car. Maybe the ISx50c I can see labeled as a girlie car but a hard top 2IS? I can't see it..

This topic has been discussed on CL quite a few times, and a search will uncover a number of threads on the topic, most eventually closed because it's a question without an answer that can't be backed up with anything other than pure opinion, resulting as you can imagine in a lot of bickering, arguing, and nonsense.

I don't know why you would ever post on a Lexus forum the question "Do you consider the 2IS a girly car?" This is for two reasons:

1) There is no answer to this question. What do you expect people to say?

"Yes!"

"No!"

Wow, both very brilliant insights.

The only thing you're going to get from this question is people's opinions, and everyone's is different. You need to decide for yourself whether you like the car and whether you want it for yourself. If you're making your decision based on whether strangers on the internet think it's girly or not, you don't have your priorities straight and aren't focusing on the real concerns.

2) You're posting this on a Lexus forum populated by 99% men. You needn't even ask the question; if all the men on CL thought the 2IS was a girly car, they likely wouldn't have bought the car and thus wouldn't be here.

Heard "its a girly car" before... by jealous people driving late 90's beaters.

And who cares even if people think that... its all about what you think! AND look through some picture threads, anyone would be hard pressed to call most members cars on here girly!

just because you see more girls driving it doesn't mean it's a girly car. I see more AMG Mercedes in So Cal, does that make them girly cars? It really depends on what you're looking for in a car.

The girls you see driving the 2IS are daughters of the men who bought the 2IS because it's sexy.

I feel as though Lexus as a brand is what attracts girls. Its a very classy and beautiful label, which has the same effect as brand name hand bags/clothes and what not. I see A LOT of girls driving the is250 and the C300. This is cause when people think of Lexus and Mercedes they think of classy/elegant, just how they want to be portrayed. When people think of BMW they think fast. Most girls dont care about speed so they opt out for the classy/elegant option. Think about a girl rolling up in a Lexus, and then the same girl in a BMW. I personally think they give off different vibes in regards to how the person is like. Regardless of weather its girly or not i am always told that i have a sexy car. Do girls like sexy cars? Yes. Do guys like sexy cars? Yes

I hear from quite a few people that my ride is a little girly. And I'm inclined to agree with them. And I love my car. But does it really matter if it's girly or not?

PS: I get more compliments about my car from girls than guys. If driving a girly car gets random girls to come up and talk to me, I'll take it!

if you ask the 'AVERAGE' person who doesnt know about cars, wheter male or female, they will 80% say that the IS and BMW 3series are "girly" cars. But to us who modify them, IS look amazing modded, drive nice and i dont consider it girly.

get the IS350 atleast......

BTW

IN BEFORE THREAD LOCK! cause these threads come/go and get locked. Not really a relevent question, more so an opinion.
