The ISx50 a girls car?
#16
any car with 300++ horsepower is a drivers car. most driving enthusiasts are men. most women choose a car for the looks and size... what looks better than the is? ill bet that the women who have the is have significantly more tire tread left than the men!

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a girls car. I do question why Lexus would make cars so small inside that men feel less comfortable in it. Even the exterior dimensions are rather diminuative. I believe it shares floorplans with the GS...that means they consciously shrunk the car. I guess you guys should be happy abot that...with more space inside, a lot more of us would be driving one. They are already every where. They would be really everywhere. Most of the people I see in them a female...and I completely understand that. Super attractive, reliable with sport luxury at an affordable price.
I agree with the guy who said mods make it more masculine but don't tell my wife that. She's riding in a lowered, black rimmed GS.

I think your eye see's what it wants to...there are a lot of women out there (thank God for that) driving all types of cars. Now-a-days more expensive ones. Lexus, BMW, Mercedes and the like. I always get complemented by my car and think it looks great...so no; not a girls car (unless it comes out in pink).

i highly disagree on this SEXIST STATEMENT!
and i dont believe that just because a lot of girls are driving a car means that its gonna be categorized as a girls car... thats just being closed minded man!
no photoshoot now hmph* :]

haha well i was at in-n-out around 11 and there was the usual crowd all hovering their cars, there was some matrix's, rsx, gti's all lined up near each other talking. and all of a sudden a white IS350 pulled in and me and some friends i was with started chatting and it came up that all the IS's we've seen that night were driven by females. nothing against them driving that car,but they all know i love the IS and was giving me a hardtime

Does it really matter? If anything that just means you and the girl just got more in common... that's the way I see it
Funny thing, I moved out of the Bay Area two years ago, but I was talking to my buddy last night and he did say there were a lot of ISx50's out there...but nothing about gender

Down here in South Florida, I have observed varied drivers of the ISx50. Women, men, mixed ages 20s - 50s and even "seniors" (over 55). Most of the ISs are IS250s, but we knew that based on the production numbers. Often, the IS350 is a male driver (based on my observations).
Is the IS a "girl's car"? I don't think so. The ISx50 simply appeals to many. In the IS category of cars (G35 coupe, new G37coupe, BMW 3 series, G35 sedan), there are plenty of women drivers. I recall reading that over 50% of those who purchase these cars are women.
BTW guys (or should I say "boys"...lol), from a woman's view, I don't think that a "girl" would find you less "manly" for driving an IS. Rather, a man who drives an IS indicates a smart shopper, class, style, sport, and a degree of social status.
A few cars come to mind when thinking what a woman wouldn't "often" drive. Those being: Corvette, Lotus Elise, Charger, Mustang GT/Shelby.
