TPMS Solution (what is your opinion)
As of a lot of people I have aftermarket rims and my sensors wont fit without them being crushed by a pot hole. So ive looked for many options on this forum, and my favorite was the iforge adapters.
However, when I called the company I guess they cant get them anymore..
So they told me the solution of drilling into the wheel/rim to put the sensors in that way..
I just want to know do people think thats safe for the long run (again reminder I have 3 pc wheels)
Hes charging me $200 to break down the wheel and install the sensors- no problem.
What are your thoughts regarding this??

TPMS is nice, but if you are really paying attention, you will know when you tires are off just by the feel. In my BMW I could tell (usually down to which corner) if one of my tires was off by more than 5psi or so.....drove my wife crazy filling up the tires by 2-5psi every time.

Spoofing the TPMS does not prevent you from driving off with a near flat. Even a few hundred yards with very low pressure can permanently damage the sidewalls and force you to buy a new tire. Wives very often drive even further before they realise they've got a flat, AMHIK.
I don't know anyone who does a full walk around before driving away. Most people assume all is well until it is proven not to be.

Wow really they don't make the adapters anymore? I just got mine a month ago. Who did you call there? I think Vincent is the one I talked to and I was able to get them order and shipped the same day. If that is the case I am glad I already got mine.

I’ve got the most radical, strange, never-heard-of-before solution: I ride on my stock rims.
Yes, and people turn their heads and ask,”Where did you get those? How much did they cost? How did you get that Lexus logo on the hubs?” When I tell them they came with the car at no charge, they’re amazed, especially when I add that the TPMS works fine (no dash lights, no pipe bombs, no dirty wheelbarrow tires in the trunk,) and I didn’t have to store OEM rims in the garage for countless years to collect dust.
“Hmm,” one guy said, “Now that I see them, they really look pretty good.”
