Buying HID Headlight on ebay pls help
I don't have the HID equipped IS250, found this on ebay :
Will this be just a simple replacement (plug and play) ? Thanks for your help.
PS:the RH is also available

maybe Im not very sure, but you have to remember that the oem hid has also the Adaptive Front Lighting System
To illuminate more of the road while cornering, the available Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) can pivot the headlamps toward the turn.
so I think will be hard to make it work, but you can try

I dont really find AFS that useful... the stock HID's throw alot of light where the A-pillars are as you sit in the drivers seat and ive never looked out the side window as i make a turn...

I was hoping all that gadgetry (AFS) is all in the headlight housing and all you have to do is remove the non HID headlight and replace it with HID headlight, plug it in and , Anybody here done the swap? how did you do it? Well anyways if I can't, I'll just do the Hid kit upgrade. Aloha

I did the swap on an 01 Mercedes C320 sedan....P&P except for the autoleveling.
I would think the headlights will install as plug & play--except for the AFS/autolevel on the IS....and I wouldn't worry it anyway -- the amount the lights actually move when you turn the steering wheel isn't significant (to me anyway). Autoleveling is nice but not necessary either - I mean regular halogen headlites doesn't have them so its not a must have.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. If in fact it is the HID housing. Your going to need a pair of bulbs and ballasts and possibly splice your OEM halogen wires w/ the ballast wires, but it should otherwise be a simple installation.
