07 or 08? Worth the wait?

This is my advice, i was in the same boat you were in last year around this time, i didnt know if i should get the 06 on the lot because it was august of 06 , or wait until the 07 was here...of course if you ask salesmen they will tell how getting whats on the lot is the best thing for your you and your country..(not to mention there really just trying to make a quick buck and get rid of the inventory out of there), oh and they might even state how they dont know when the new ones are coming out so you better buy it now...DONT FALL FOR THAT! i decided to wait until the 07's came out, now i didnt know what the real difference wouldve been between the two years because the 06 is the revamped IS, but i got bit 2 years ago when i purchased a brand new 04 TSX in july of 04, little did i know that the 05 was just around the corner and there was some slight mods that i missed out on.
So since the IS might be changing for 08 (or maybe just the IS-F will get the facelift) i would wait to see. Im thinking that the 2008 250 & 350 will look indentical to the 07, and only the IS-F will sport the new sporty look, which i think is amazing, i love those fender flares on the is-f....

Watch out for those dealers. They will tell you anything to get you to buy today. Of course "they don't know" when the 2008s will arrive. Lexus knows to the day when the cars come off the assembly line, get loaded on the boat, arrive at port, and make their way to their final destination at the dealers. They have this down to a science, so someone somewhere does know, and I really doubt the dealerships have no knowledge of when their inventory is going to arrive on their lots. You can't possibly run a business that way. Imagine if Wal-Mart or Amazon had no idea when the new Harry Potter book was going to be available? I think the consensus for when the first dealers will have 2008s available is the 2nd or 3rd week of September.

The Lexus press release for 2008s didn't note changes in colors. New rims, new backlighting on the outside mirror controls, white illuminated scuff plates, coin holder, $200 price increase (except AWD, which is $200 cheaper).
Did I miss anything?
I'd say wait for the 2008 if you can--on day 1, your car will be a year old. Unless the dealer can make up that hit in the residual value, you might as well wait.

Thanks for the earlier welcome and the links.
I wanted to get a feel for what knowledge was out there about the '08 before going to the stealers. I found those threads earlier while searching. Unfortunately, they contain a lot of good discussion and speculation but no facts that answered my original question.
So we ended up at some stealers and found out the following.
This info applies to the Canadian '08 MY IS:...

I ordered a 2008 IS350 specifically to have it in Glacier Frost Mica/Black. It is still set to arrive here late Sept or early Oct. So, to the best of my knowledge, GFM will be available in the United States.

I received a call from Prestige Lexus in the southshore of Montreal the other day. The dealer called to say that there was 1 '07 IS250 Sport Package left in Canada, he said he'd drop 1k off the price and give me a 2.5% Finance instead of a 2.9%.
Only problem was it was a silver, I'm not too fond of Silver, so I told him I wasn't interested.
He then shot me with another offer, If I put a reservation down right now he'll honor the same price for a 08 model. By reservation he means put some sort of cash down.
Is this offer too good to be true?
