Pictures of gaps in my interior. Are these gaps acceptable/normal??

I have a slight gap by the vents, but not in the dash...I think it is from when lexus changed out my NAV Unit. When I take it in for its 10,000 mi I am going to have them fix it...

i have one on the center console as well. It goes away when the car has been sitting out in the car. Maybe it has to do with temperature since the dash expands and extracts. I took it into the dealership two times to have it returned saying that it is normal. I was very unpleased to hear from the dealer that it is normal.

Wow the pasenger side gap is huge. I dont have any of the gap issues. I always closely examin my cars at time of purchase, look for scratches, any interior issues, dents....anything. I would try to get them to fix it if I was you.

This lack of quality control is what made me decide against a G35. I am surprised to see it in a Lexus. My IS350 has incredible fit and finish. I am very pleased with my purchase. I hope that you get your fixed so you can fully enjoy yours.

careful with the door gap. if you have them adjust it make sure they adjust the interior panel if possible and not the door. If they adjust that door it's probably never going to close the same way again.

Your gaps are probably within spec. Unless it really, really bothers you I wouldn't start monkeying around with trying to adjust it, in many cases it just becomes worse with additional rattles and squeaks thrown in for good measure. This may be blasphemy but the fit and finish on an IS should not be expected to be as good as an LS, that's just the way it is.

If you loosen the bolts holding the nav unit in place and raise it up, then retighten the bolts (use the slop in the holes) with the nav unit fully raised up, the gap at the top will go away. Mine was gapless before I removed the nav unit and developed the gap when I put it back together. It is now gapless again.

I went out to check mine and it did not have the gap like yours.
but I cannot imagine the dealer able to fix the door gap one properly, short of removal and install of a (new) dash.. which is probably very complicated and not worth the risk involved. Sounds like a job for experienced collision repairman than a tech at the dealer to me.
I don't understand how can fitment like this could pass for a Lexus. Is there something that corporate can do for us customers in cases like thsi?
