Shopping for an IS250 in South Florida.
Hello all. I've been a lurker around here for the past couple of weeks and am finally closer to buying an IS250 Manual Trans.
The specs I want are: IS250 MT, Smokey Granite, Black interior, base model.
I recently visited JM Lexus in my area and was told that MT 250`s only come with 18" wheels w/ summer tires and the accessory package (wheel locks, trunk mats, cargo net), putting the invoice price up to $27,964 (MSRP $31,937). The salesperson quickly quoted me $29,000 + TTL + (some other dealership fee?). I tried to get that price down to $28,000 + fees, but since I told him I was definitely not buying today, he did not give me a definite answer about my price, but to stick to the quoted $29,000 for now.
Has anyone in the South Florida region gotten below invoice on an IS250 (particularly Manual tranny)? I was also told that Manual tranny IS250`s are very rare. Is this true?

Personally I never start negotiating unless I'm ready to buy as it sets up a dynamic that can get out of control. If I'm just browsing I tell them so right off the bat. No sense wasting their time, or mine. When you are ready to buy take your checkbook with you and start negotiating.

Thanks for the replies so far.
Has anyone else gotten a better deal? Perhaps under invoice in South Florida? I know there are not many Lexus dealerships in South Florida, but I'm hoping to get a deal close to under invoice .

Back in Feb - April of this year I looked for months at every dealership in Fl for a 2007 manual IS250 without any luck. I was even willing to pay to have one shipped in, but the dealers wouldnt go much below sticker to have this done and they were fully loaded - too much $$$$ for my budget. I was going to drive and pick on up, but couldn't find any at all the SE region. JM Lexus in Margate kept promising they would get a manual in, but it never happened.
I finally found a used 06 is250 tungsten/black loaded with nav and a 6 speed at Maroone Toyota in Weston. I saw some other used manuals before that, but in funky colors. I love the car, I am so glad I didnt settle for the auto. There is nothing like driving manual, the paddle shifters do not sub for the clutch.
Good luck with your search!
