just installed the sport pedals today, took like 15 mins, actually the hardest part for me was installing the new brake cover,..taking the gas pedal out was easy of course with the angle adapter, and i used a nail that fit the hole of the pin you have to knock out, that was easy, and puting the top right nut back was easy also, i put the nut inside the socket, then taped it just on the outside to hold the nut so it doesnt fall, then when you screw in the nut a little, just peel the tape off,

I changed all except my gas pedal. Can't get the pin out. Well its stuck half way. Did you use a clamp of some sort? Because I don't have one.

^ I secured it with a vise and then hammered away with a pin removal tool.

Are you taking about the gas pedal or the entire assembly?

I did it without the angle adapter. You've got to be a bit of a contortionist to get it right - I was pretty much upside down. Luckily, the bolt isn't very tight.

I used some tape to hold the nut onto the socket to guide it in place. Once the nut was threaded on, i pulled back and the nut stayed on the screw, tape on socket came OFF, socket went back in to tighten!

does anyone know if our cars share the same pedals as the is300?

on ebay there are several sellers who have "oem alluminum pedals" for the is300, they look EXACTLY like ours. I also went on sewell to find the alluminum set for the is300 and came up with nothing, only for our cars, could it be that they are the same?

I did use a clamp I used a happen and a super tiny screw driver and went havoc on the screw took a minute and super slowely it starts to come out. Remember it gribs on the plastic when taking the pin out..so dont be afraid to use some force

I but it between my legs and went at it for 20minutes till it was loose

The brake/clutch pedals are the same, the gas pedal and foot rest are not. You might be able to make them work, but I've never tried.

Hi there,

The installation instruction link doesn't work anymore.
http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/imp.../IS_pedals.pdf

If anybody saved a copy, could you please share it with me?

Thanks,
Kevin

I got the aluminum pedal set from the Black Friday Sewell sale last weekend and was surprised when i got the set this week. I had thought the gas pedal was just the pad and not the entire pedal that this mod was before ?? It should be easier then one would think but i haven't had a chance to do the install yet ??? Has anyone installed their pedals from last week's sale ??? TIA

I just installed mines, it took me like 45 minutes, the hardest part was to loose the top nut, from there everything is a piece of cake.

haha yea I just installed mine too, PITA, thank god JR (mymrmis350) has a crap load of tools cuz we ended up taking off the whole gas pedal assembly.

NO WAY anyone would ever be able to push the pin out while the pedal is still on. Once out and WITH a hammer it still took about 10 mins.
