I get 20-242mpg. Mostly half city, half highway. 1mile to 2 miles between lights. I could see 18 0t 20 mpg with frequent 1-2 block stops and some stop light idleing. If you drive short distances, and the engine never stops the initial richer running it would get lower mpg. I think if I floored it every time I left a light I'd still get 15 mpg. If you're not opening it up everytime and your driving more than 30min/10 miles, somethings up with either you're engine or transmision computer or mechanicals.

If you are still on the first tankful, I wouldn't even worry about it yet. Perhaps the dealer left it idling for a long time or did something else during the PDI to drive the mileage down. Plus you are probably doing loads of short trips playing with the new car and showing it off.

I'll bet if you fill the tank and bring it on a long drive, you'll see you mileage go into the twenties.

You're right the trips aren't long at all yet and theres plenty of short short trips .. but thanks hopefully after a new tank of gas it will start going up to where it should be .

I got tank average of 20.2 mpg on my 3rd tank of gas, car only a month old. I checked it manually by taking the miles I drove between fill up and dividing it by the # of gallons it took to fill up the tank and it was spot on the exact figure of 20.2....so the digital tank average display was accurate.

Reset the meter (by holding down the disp button when MPG displayed). Then drive around. It should show better MPG. Like Bichon said, it was probably cause the dealer left it idling.
