I know for fact a E46 M3 with the VF enginnering supercharger can beat any modded 335 right now. On the BMW forums the higest HP 335 is at 380whp. The vf enginnering stage 2 M3 is 500whp. Which one is faster, 500 or 380? Yea I know alot of people are on the 335 bandwagon but im not. I like the exterior and especially interior of the E46 body style better. It wont be too long until everyone will be running around with chipped 335's just like modded evos, stis, etc. I dont want to be like everyone else. How many supercharges M3's have you seen since they have been out since 2001? There are alot more 335's and 535's out there chipped. Everyone has there own opinion, im not saying mine is better, but mine makes sense to me.

Hence the "certain" M3 as stated

yellowssm I think you did great with your pick. Looks very nice. I like the bike too. Very cool stuff man. Typically, I am not a fan of black rims, but your m3 looks mean as *****

Good job. Hope you stay on this forum and keep us updated. If you make it down to dallas, stop by I'd love to run them I already have 1 m3 kill under my belt

The main point of my post was why buy the outgoing M3 when the new M3 is just around the corner. If you think the current M3 is better looking than the new one or if money is a concern, then by all means you picked the right car. To me, however, I think the new M3 looks and performs a lot better. Just one man's opinion though.

I just dont like the look of the new 3 series, M or no M. Also $ is a little bit of an issue considering the new M3 is going to be in the high 60's well loaded. Plus I got my 2005 M3, certified, only 30k miles, for only $38. It had a original MSRP of $56k. I know I got a good deal considering I am a car salesman. When the new M3 comes out people are going to be paying out the *** for them because they are the new hot thing. I'll think ill pass. Id rather get a used new body M5 for mid to high $60's.

I couldn't agree more with you about the m5 comment. Seriously, hmmm lets see.. i can pay 65k+++ for a new new m3 or 65k for a 1 yr old m5 which would smoke 95% of what is out there including it's little brother the m3.

Edit: of course for you to get a used m5 for 65k you would have to find one with some decent amount of miles on it.
