ATTN LUX Package: Increase downward angle of auto tilt side mirrors...
for those with the lux package and the auto tilt side mirrors when in reverse... when you shift into reverse, the mirrors automatically tilt downward as long as you have your side mirror toggle swith set to left or right.. my question is, can you adjust the auto tilt angle to point further downward? it would be nice if there were a memory setting for this feature.. it seems like my mirrors dont point as far down as they used to.. it's kinda hard for me to see the curb.. on the other hand, if i adjust the mirrors manually, i can angle them much further downward.. any thoughts?

The mirrors probably tilt down a pre-set amount. If you adjust the regular angle a little further down the mirrors may tilt down further when in reverse. I find I don’t always want the mirrors to tilt so I leave the setting so they don’t tilt in reverse. I just flip the switch for left/right when I want to see the curb.

i never knew that it was on auto set when it was set on left or right... I don't have the feature and personally I don't like it. The last time i took a little visit home my mom bought a 3series bmw.. so i took it out while i was in town.. that mirror tilt down thing was annoying, i was trying to see if I could put it in reverse without it tilting.. couldn't figure it out.. i have to ask my mom if she knows about it on her ride...
I can make due without the feature.. i would rarely use it... how many people like it?

I love the feature but my right side mirror just stopped tilting up and down...the dealer said it was the actuator, so I'm not sure if this feature wears out the actuator quicker than normal.
Has this happened to anybody else?
