Default Where to find the production date of my IS?

Is there anywhere in the car I can find the production date of my IS? I tried searching but didn't really find anything about the subject. Thanks.

^^^ Thanks for the detailed description. I was going to look for the color code too. This saves me from the search. Thanks again.

Hey Lobux,

You should blurr the VIN in your photo - not sure you want that type of info floating around in cyberspace . . .

Sure. Not sure what someone can do with a VIN all by itself though.

They can get your address, and from that, usually, other personal information as well.

PS -- if you subscribe to techinfo.lexus.com, TIS v3.0 has a "vin lookup" where you can see the actual lineoff date, not just the month.

Thanks! I hadn't noticed that feature. I'll have to check it out. How far back does it go?

[EDIT] Where is this feature located? I can't find it in any obvious place.[/EDIT]

I disagree, someone can try to sell a 'salvage' and pose it as legit by hijacking your VIN - just not worth the aggravation & hassle IMHO. . .
