To add... After ordering my 08, JM Lexus emailed me the order form showing that the car was indeed ordered. That was 2 months ago. Aside from that, nothing lately. As soon as my vin is received, I plan on purchasing the few mods pending arrival. Patiently waiting....

And oddly enough the LED lights are only in the three tail light/brake light assemblies. I always wondered why they just didn't do all the lights, or at least the turn signals. Maybe it's cheaper to stick regular bulbs in there instead of LEDs, but I would have thought it would be an all or none kind of thing.

Guys & Gals... you should be able to confirm that your special order was qued for the 2007 August Production..
What I know as fact, is that any Special Order ISx50 accepted on the June 20th download by the Lexus factory in Japan will be slatted as a 2008.
Also, as long as your dealer had an alloaction for your order, it should be in the August 2007 Special Order Production cycle..
Your dealer should be able to confirm if your car is in that production run.

P.S. - Has anyone 110% confirmed or seen the specs where it shows the 2008 Split 5 Spoke 18's will be in the Liquid Graphite Finish???
What I know as fact, is that any Special Order ISx50 accepted on the June 20th download by the Lexus factory in Japan will be slatted as a 2008.
Also, as long as your dealer had an alloaction for your order, it should be in the August 2007 Special Order Production cycle..
Your dealer should be able to confirm if your car is in that production run.

I just find it strange that 2-3 weeks from taking delivery of a car that I have no idea if it even exists, let alone what it looks like. I would have thought that inside of the last few weeks they'd at least be able to say here's what features your car has, here's where your car is currently, and it'll be here on approximately the 18th of September depending on X, Y, and Z, for example. Right now all I get is we will give you a call when the car comes in - a little too vague for my liking this close to delivery date assuming delivery date is in September and not October or November. Come on I need a little bit of time to scrape together $45k

^^^ Keep in mind special orders take 3-4 months (min-max)...
If you car made it into the August Production, you are looking at end of Sept or begining of Oct.. (IMHO)

Thanks for the update Joe Z. I'm hoping my car gets here before October. I'm going to cross my fingers that they don't screw this up again....

Low and behold, the car dealer called ME today! For those of you that have been following my saga, I ordered a 2007 at the end of May. Last week I was told that the company said to give me a 2008 at the same price. Today they said that my car would be coming in October. I asked beginning or end and they said that they did not know. He also said that my order has been red flagged and that's why they called him about my car personally.
I'm happy to hear that it's coming then. We decided not to do the buy an '07 and trade it in for an '08 at no cost to us deal. Just too many things could happen. Sooooo we wait....but I can't help it. I'm happy that I finally heard SOMETHING!

Nice. Plus you're in Florida, so no worries about having it trashed from road salt, sand, rocks, and deicers within weeks of getting it. I'm hoping the '08s hit closer to the beginning of October rather than later, because I'm probably garaging mine from November until May, unless old man winter wants to accommodate me and my IS and come a couple months later than normal like last year. Heh I'm gonna baby this car it's not even funny.

First 2 Years in NY and the rest where here in So Cal!!!
When I pick up my 2008, it will be fitted with AeroTect Film the very same day...
Also, I'm taking the car with NO dealer prep and NO front plate holes, just the required PDI.
I do plan on keeping this one for a long time as well!!

First it was a difference thread, then it became a why won't they tell us anything thread and now it's a "wishing" and "hoping" thread. LOL!
Yes, it will be nice to get our car in October. We don't have all of the road worries that you do. The thing that kills cars here is the sun. We usually keep our boat in the garage and the cars outdoors (I just heard a collective gasp from the gallery). I'm trying to get my husband to keep the boat ourdoors and put our cars in the garage. Red paint and the sun don't mix!
