Just an update:
The stealer confirmed my wife's '08 is being built in August (1st month of '08 production) and will ship to arrive in September (date is flexible depending on actual build date.)

Stealer also confirmed:

GFM is definitely gone for Canada (posted this in another thread) and no new colours.

The Canadian option packages have been cut back to 5 from 6 on the 250RWD. They are ditching the Base Leather w/Moonroof Package and Premium Leather without Moonroof Package to create one Base Leather without Moonroof (but adding 17" wheels.) She opted for this new package. If the rumour of adding heated seats to the base leather is true then that will be a surprise bonus because the stealer doesn't know that detail. He also doesn't know about the rumoured redesign of the front seat backs for more rear leg room (another bonus if it's true.)

Moonroof should be a standard in a luxury car, why not right? it looks like their downgrading to make some minor adjustments.

It's the door sill. When you open your door, it's the "step" between the outside and inside...

I think "having the option" should be a luxury standard.

I for one would have preferred not to have one, but alas, the '06s came with it standard...

Default 2008 IS350 Changes - Update

Hi guys & gals... My sales rep at JM Lexus emailed me today with the "official" info regarding MY08 changes. As many have suspected, very few changes. The email read...
"This is what's new for the '08 IS350:

The 2008 IS 250 and 350 features a new finish to its standard 17-inch wheels for a sportier appearance. Additional upgrades include backlighting on the outside power mirror control, white illuminated scuff plates and an additional coin holder."

I personally believe the price of the IS-F will draw more sales of the IS350 after folks realize that the 350 isn't that bad of a deal.
+1

They should have taken a chapter out of the BMW "M" or Mercedes "AMG" book and made the differences subtle (or at least made the add-ons fit the lines of the car) instead of screaming "Lexus can do performance cars too!"

Right now the lease rates are great! The money factors are lower because the 2008 are coming out. If there isn't any major body changes you should get one now and save yourself some money.

It is rumored that Lexus is making only 1000 IS-F for the US market, so I'm pretty sure 350 sales are safe. And considering all the people here who claim they'll buy one, that's purely a bonus sale, as they wouldn't be buying a second IS350...

The IS-F is not going to steal sales from anybody at those production volumes.

I agree 100%. My 07 IS350 does not have a moonroof because I did not want one...adds weight and too many reports about sqeaks and rattles.

I would love to see an AWD IS 350. I would trade up my 250 for a 350 if it came AWD. But I doubt Lexus has any plans to do this.

I think those reports are when the roof is open, right? I just leave mine closed most of the time.

The problem with having the option to remove it is that it is a special order item, and you likely won't save any money.
