maybe the car is out of allignment. i dont know why. the car was lowered through lexus and i assume they did an allignment. i dont know why the allignment would be off at all. I mean the car is still pretty new and it has not had any road issues, like hitting a deer or dog. lol. Is it really that possible that the allignment is off for no reason at all. How much does an allignment cost. I guess i will take it somewhere tomorro.

does a tire being directional really effect anything. I am referring to javy's post about swapping. i thought about having that done and they guy was like, no they are directional. but does that really affect anything at all, or does it matter.

Yes, it matters. Directional tires are designed to roll only in one direction.

Uneven tire wear is, of course, more of an issue with people like the OP with lowered cars. What's interesting is that the pictures posted don't look like camber wear AT ALL. This type of tire wear definitely looks like alignment-related wear. If it were camber wear, the whole inner 1/3 of the tire would show more wear. Instead, what we're seeing here is only the extreme inner edge of the tire that's been worn down.

Yes, a tire being directional most defintely does matter. If your tread pattern is wrong, your tires won't remove water from the road like they're supposed to, which is not only a performance issue, but more importantly a safety issue as well. Try this - take a pen or pencil and rotate it as if you were driving the car forward. Now, while still rotating the pen, pretend you're changing the wheel from one side to the other. The rotation is now opposite - this is why you can't simply rotate your tires. That's the whole point of why I have my tires dismounted - so I can swap them from side to side to get much more life out of my tires, and still have the correct rotation on a directional tread pattern.

Javy. so what you saying is that the tire is removed from the rim and put on directly in the same direction on the other rim ?

that used to happen to my civic. the reason was that the car wasn't aligned.... after alignment, I had no such wear on the inside. You should get that checked! That 80 dollar alignment will save you hundreds of dollars in tires
