Turn your lights on at night and go to the side of your car. You will see four amber LEDs on the side of the headlights (like the current 5-series) and four red LEDs on the side of the taillights. It really stands out at night and most people probably do not even notice they have them. I will try and get pics.

I think those are the city lights. Someone has a diagram on where and which lights are and their location.

they are on the sides of the headlight/taillights on both sides of the car. very spiffy if i do say so.
