Damn, this is pretty much the same thing that happened to me. Mine is on the drivers side and quite a lot less damage, but same type of hit.
I also got my car back but it's no good. The first time they'd messed up the starfire pearl colour and the pearl looked green. They repainted it and it's a lot better but still looks very different from the rest of the car. The paint looks pretty much matte in certain little quarter-sized spots. And my interior was filthy too the way you described it... the silky soft and light coloured headliner in my car now has grease marks all over it.
Mine doesn't even really drive the same... I have lots of squeaks now and a pretty a severe tick noise from the dash whenever I go around a big bend. Also looking into getting something else, but the problem is the IS is what I always wanted and it's too hard to go and pay the premium for a new type of the exact same car.
