Those of use that bought our IS350s in the fall of '05 didn't enjoy the same deep discounts that have been available more recently. In those days, a discount of $2,000 off MSRP would have been considered a smokin' deal, and many people paid full MSRP. I'm sure that if I was to trade my car, I'd lose a heck of a lot more than $4-5k.
I feel your pain! I was happy to get a grand off of sticker. At least our cars are still holding value decently.

Plenty of middle aged women (and yeah I've seen one grandma) driving the IS too. I have heard girls describe the IS as "a cute car" so why wouldn't they want it?
