Realistic to get 08 IS350 for this price (pricecheck)?
Special Order:
MSRP: $42,100
Invoice: $38,100
2008 IS350
Black Sapphire Pearl with Black interior
Navi + ML
Premium Package
HID AFS
18" Wheels
Would it be possible to get this special order for $42,500 OTD? Basically I will be offering $1000 over invoice on this special order.

Give it a try what dealer you plan on going to? Try to email a dealer with a huge inventory and would be willing to work with you. I know Steven creek told me all 08s are going to be sold for msrp and they already got the deposits for the 08's

I highly doubt that you will get that price. They have lots of deposits for the 08. When I bought my 07 (aug 07) they told me that the 350 will be sold at msrp just like the 07 did when they were first release. You can see them deal when the december sale goes on.

Doubtful. I don't see why there should be any discount. IS350 is a rare car, the demand is there to cover the supply even without a discount, and it's a brand new model year, so these will be about as new as new can be which usually means you pay the early adopter tax.

curious ... what happened... when i was lookin for my car during 06 and 07... i got an 06 and they had a lot of is350... at the time .. i fellt like there were a good amount of is350... maybe it was just me...

i say anything is possible but not rite now since they havent moved the 07 off the lot with the new 08 rolling in. When i was shopping for my 250 but wanted the 350 they didnt have 350 on the lot because they were sold really fast. i would of had a invoice price on the 350 if i waited 6 months to 1 year for a special order as the salesman told me plus i knew the is-f was comming out soo i will just trade it in for the is-f might want to wait on special order till u see the is-f :P

That would be a great deal if you got it. I just got a is350 2008 for 41,800, 45,500 otd = Black pearl on Tan, ML-nav, gspider upgrade, sticker was 45k and change (not including the gspiders.) Of course that didn't include platinum service, lo-jack, xm, window tinting and lifetime free wheel plan. This brought the otd cost to 50,200.
I'm hoping mine was a good deal for a 2008 though probly not for a 2007 during the sale, though i'm sure i got reamed for the service plans. Anyone agree disagree? As for differences beween 2007 and 2008. all i can really recognize is the graphite color of the stock rims and of course the year number, so far.

Get your numbers together with what you want to offer, go in to the dealer and lay it on the line. Tell them you are willing to order RIGHT NOW, and be prepared to put the deposit down. I don't think you can get anywhere near that price, but if you come prepared and are serious, who knows.

first delivery, will give more details shortly. looks like i got reamed on the deal if someone in sanfran got 39,100 an i got 41,800. EDIT* actually adding in the 1700 gspider full retail i guess it's close. unless the san fran got the gspiders too.

Using the proper methods will get you a good price on the 08. Keep in mind that it not a new body style or major revision. Dealers only want you to believe that the new model shoud demand a higher price. If they have the same color/option combination on their lot in an 07 and an 08, they will be more aggressive with the 07. I highly recommend working through the "internet sales" department. Only start communicating with them when you are 100% ready to go in and buy the car. Do not try to get pricing a few weeks before you are ready. Things change daily. The salesperson will drop a price to close an additional deal that day/week. I ended up paying $39,700 plus TTL for an IS350 w/nav/ml/lux pkg/prem acc pkg. Most dealerships were not able to get the right color (Tungsten) for me. I emailed Stevens Creek, and got the car the day it came in off the truck! No lot damage!!! Two days after I emailed them, I had the car. This is $500 over invoice plus another $200 off to discount the extended warranty. Mine is an 07 bought exactly a month ago today.
