Those lines look very straight, almost like a pick up truck bed door or something like one of those trucks that carry glass and have those arms that hang out...

Im betting the broken lense piece popped up and landed right on that spot ..

No cameras near or around the lot??

That sucks big time man....im sorry Javy. The impact looks like some kinda truck bed or sumthing. So no one saw or HEARD the collision? I dont see how no one could not hear sumthing like that. Man that really sucks. Hope u find the ***** that did that.

Man what is with people now hitting someone else's car and just leaving not even caring? I tell you people have no respect, and it seems they have very little for cars. If it was a truck, it is quite possible they didn't even know they hit you. A big enough truck can destroy a little car like the IS and not even feel it especially at low speed that has a low impact but can cause a lot of damage.

I love this place... Thanks for the comments everyone - you guys made me laugh, and I very much needed that. I think a lot of you are spot-on in that it appears to be some kind of truck that hit the car. The gashes are pretty high up, and the paint transfer is white, which leads me to believe it's a commercial van, or perhaps a moving truck with one of those cargo beds that stick out. There are some cameras around the lot, and I've been promised a copy of those tapes today. Hopefully I'll get to see who did this, but I'm not sure how much good it's going to do.

Lllamaboiz - yeah, the pinstriping came from the dealer. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me and I like it now. Thanks again everyone.
