West coast dealers at the moment. A couple of people in CA and AZ have taken delivery already. Some east coast dealers should get some by next week. Your dealer may be right about not getting them until the end of this month or early October.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll pop that off and put the switch placeholder in there instead. I bet they had an extra spot on the dash that they ended up not using for any OEM option and decided to just stick that coin holder in there. In that case I think it would have been better to do nothing. I'm not a fan of the pouches on the back of the front seats either. That looks kind of tacky, like it's my grandparents car. Who needs pouches, and what does one store in those pouches? With a navigation system built in definitely not maps.

Thanks for the pics Javy
Personally I think that coin holder looks cheezy and something I'd see in a cheap car. Lexus should have designed something with hidden access AND A BIT MORE CLASS. Again...just my opinion...

In mine I keep my folded up windshield sunshade and a Yankee Candle 'Leather' air freshener. Oh, and maps if I go into the mountains where the navigation system doesn't have any real detail .

The one in my '05 ES330 is pretty nice. It looks like they took the hidden controls drop down panel from the GS and replaced that with a coin holder in the ES. I think Lexus shouldn't have even bothered with that in the IS if that's what they came up.

Checked in on my special order this morning based on some folks out west having already taken delivery and got the following:

Still on track for late this month into early October. I apologize that I can not be more specific however when the manufacturer puts the vehicle in our inventory (about 15-30 days before arrival) I will be able to track and give you more detailed information.

ROFL...

Seriously, all the 2008 owners are going to need a groupbuy on the blank slot fillers since they will be wanting to get rid of that coinholder

That's unfortunate. Sounds like we have a bit of waiting still. I was thinking we were more like days and not weeks away from hearing that our cars would be delivered shortly.
