Default Pics of 2008 IS (merged threads)

I snapped a couple of "spy pics" of the 2008 IS this afternoon. A couple of thoughts:
  • It is absolutely undistinguishable from the 07 model. The only way you'd be able to tell from the road is the finish on the stock wheels, pictured below.
  • Just as I thought, the rears of the front seats are the same design as those found in the IS-F. Leg cutouts on both sides of the seatback, and a soft bag-style pouch instead of the hard plastic found in the 07 and 06 models.
  • The coinholder is LAME.
  • The finish on the new wheels is nice - I liken it to the Mercury Silver found on some Volk Wheels. It's a very shiny, bright, and almost reflective silver.
I check the two models I found, and neither had the new white illuminated scuff plates, so no pictures of those. After seeing the new 2008 model, I'm glad my 2006 still looks like the current model!

Javier

The new wheels - for reference, the car in the picture is Breakwater Blue Metallic.

The rear of the new front seat.

The much-anticipated COIN HOLDER!!!

That coin holder is seriously tempting me to trade my 06 IS350 in for a 08 IS350. Oh, I gotta have it!

Seriously though, I thought it'd be one of those multi-slot ones that fits in the center armrest. I LOL'ed hard when I saw that pic of the coin holder

Its virtually the same exact part we had in our 2001 IS300's....

Talk about upgrading...

Great job secret agent javyLSU.

The liquid graphite finish on the rims are VERY nice. They look so good I have second thoughts about going aftermarket...

i actually think the back seat looks kind of cheap now, espcially with that middle bar showing. having a pocket is nice, but again looks cheap.

looks like maybe a half inch of extra leg room?
