Default Advice on a CAR

New here and need advice!!

I知 looking to buy my first car. I知 19 and I want something that has performance and luxury. Over the summer I was suppose to get an 2007 IS350 for my birthday, but the dealership couldn't find me a fully loaded/ Starfire Pearl/ Sterling one. I really like this car, but after looking around I知 starting to change my mind. I have a choice of taking my mom's GS430 because soon she might get the LS600h L or CLS 550 or hopefully CLS 63 AMG, but I rather have my own brand new car (which I am funding most of). These are the 4 cars that I am now interested in. I think I might just wait for an IS-F, but I don't know. HELP!!

2008 Lexus IS350 [fully loaded]
2008 Lexus IS-F [fully loaded]
2008 Infiniti G37S [fully loaded]
2008 BMW 335xi Coupe [fully loaded]

Considering that I was suppose to get a BMW M5($130,500CND) 1 month after getting my driver's licence from my dad as a gift, these cars seem really inexpensive, but somehow the salesman talked him out of it. Maybe because of its V10 engine, or its 500hp, who knows

PS - all your previous threads are really helpful

Thx

I just want to say that your a lucky 19 year old for having those for choices. With that out of the way, obviously money is not in the way so IS-F is your obvious choice and it's not even a competition.

0.o.... the IS-F isn't in the league of those three other cars you listed
I personally wouldn't get a nissan/infiniti unless it was a skyline after hearing all the engine problems they have plus the company still cuts costs for too many things. Being a 19 year old you and I...I would recommend you either deciding upon the IS350 or the 335i unless you have 55k ready to blow then IS-F by all means get it...but assuming you are going to/ are in college (I don't know how much good colleges cost in canada, but you really should be able to pay off all your college before getting the IS-F which is the reason I decided not to wait for it) you should buy a IS350 and upgrade in 3-4 years when you graduate. If you would prefer more luxury over sport get a IS350...if you are going to take your car to the track get a 335i.

If you really want to be smart about your decision then take the money and buy a used IS250 especially if this will be your first RWD car.

If it's your own money then by all means splurge it, but if it's your parents money just tell them to give you the $50K and you go buy a less expensive car and keep the difference and save it or invest it.

Lexus will give you the most luxury and least amount of problems over time. Good luck with your purchase!

Your in canada? Does it snow alot where you live? ALSO... damm to be 19 with those choices... i'll just say, 19 with 400hp first car? no... You'll wrap a pole/tree within the first yr or something to that effect... Sorry i'd be more helpful if you had different choices, such as not so powerful choices, do your parents know what those cars are capable of?

You forgot about the E92 M3, the C63 AMG, Audi S4, Porsche Cayman S.
With that price range you have a lot of options.

I was 16 when i got my first car which was an old hand me down 01 RX300, but when i graduated high school my dad bought me the IS350 when I was 18 (Im turning 19 on the 7th) a graduation present. I'd say go for the IS350 since it gets pretty good MPG while having ALOT of power. USC baby!!!

Good lord. Where do you young people work or where do your parents work. I remember asking my mom when I was 13 if she was going to buy me a car when I turned 17 and she said to get a job. If this is your money, where do you work?! I want in!

I would get a Toyota or something if this is your first car. My second car was a Celica when I was 19 and I loved it. Very reliable and more fitting for the age group.

Good luck with your choice. Out of your choices, I would choose the IS350, but even that is really expensive for someone your age.
