hahah, ur right...but i wont be able to get it til next thursday. In the meantime Im actually looking at rims and spoilers...

Im going for the Work Cr-Kai and the element spoiler.

think i can do a 18x9.5 in the rear with a 265/40/18?
and 18x8.5 in the front with a 225/40/18?

I dont think there would be any issues with the front, but the rear...a bit concern about rubbing.

as for awd, I really like it but I wanted the extra kick. I was never satisfied with the speed but other then that its a genuine car. Im going to miss it.

the new is350 has only 100miles on it. ..comes with the luxury pkg ,premium pkg and the navi. one thing though, i always though the is350 would come with summer tires not all season. I ended up with the bridgestone all season..totally forgot to look atthe model of the tire, do you guys know what kinda tires they are giving us. Btw, this was all done at Rallye. great customer service and very polite. The only thing i hated was how they kept on pushing me to buy the extended warrranty for a ridiculous amount of 2k (only 3 more year or 25k miles). other then that its all good.
I'm a happy camper!!!
Here's a piece of news for you - the lux package came with SUMMER 18" tires and wheels, not A/S. Retail sticker for the IS350 with nav/lux/ML was $44k+ (I know because I bought one but for less than retail), invoice was a little over $38k. How sure are you this car is exactly what they claim? I smell a rat.

In looking at the numbers,he seemed to get a great deal.
The car discounted to $35.5 and getting $2K over book trade in value.
Yes it's odd to get a deal like that and the dealer still somehow having an brandy new '06 but I think he's ok.

There's a couple of newish '06's in my area that are caled used.

...guys...stop scaring me, i'll ask about the tires today. but i checked out everything..park assist, headlight washer, memory seating, rear sunshade, bi-xenon adaptive..its all there from the lux pkg...

I was surprise to see the all-season tires instead of the summer..i rather have the summer actually, but the all-season might be more suitable for our weather condition here in NY. but then again, it is the bridgestone RE-92s..they SUCK.

If the dealer had a new, unregistered 2006 on the lot they would be willing to do anything to get rid of it. With 2008 arriving, a dealer would almost give the car away. Also, why was it still on the lot? My gut tells me there's a story behind its stay at the dealer. Maybe it's a really horrible color combination?

We have a brand new 2006 GS430 on our showroom. It's marked down $10,000 and we STILL can't get rid of it. It has a great color combo, white/gray.

BTW, headlight cleaners and park assist are not part of the luxury package, they are stand-alone options.

does it have to a negative thing when someone gets a car at a great deal?? i know its a 2006. but i thoroughly checked the car..inside and out, the paint matches perfectly, no scratches , dents or anything..

and for the all -season, they ahve agree to switch it out for me for new summer tires. and totally forgot to tell you that they also giving me the 10k service for free.

I wouldn't mention any more dealer perks.
It just makes things look worse.

hhaa..please do!!! we all can learn from it!!! we all do it in our own ways in business...anyway we can make money right?..to an extent of course.

but before i sign away the car, I'm definitely going the check the car again, i even ran a carfax on it. its clean...so hopefully i wont get scammed. I heard that Rallye is very reputatable so I'm not as worried.

Hung,CarFax isn't perfect.
My neighbor hit a deer causing $8K damage and months later never showed on CarFax.
A Lexus dealer wouldn't play games like that. The car is probably fine.
It's just that when you get the car for many thousands under invoice, get two thousand more than your trade was worth, dealer is giving you another set of tires, free 10K service...it sort of becomes a very suspicious transaction.
That being said,it's probably a car the dealer wanted to move.
Right place,right time maybe.
Just go over it with a fine tooth comb.

It's always a positive thing when someone gets a good deal. If the deal is too good to be true it gets questioned. As I explained in my earlier post, being a 2006 MY, I'm sure the dealer would have done ANYTHING to get rid of it, including practically giving it away. Personally, I believe you, but most people here are wondering what a new 2006 IS350 was doing on the lot when most dealers couldn't keep them on their lot. That's the same question you should ask yourself.

IMHO, 10k off is not enough to move that GS - that's barely invoice less holdback. 2006 still had gen IV Nav, no vdim switch and no front pass airbag sensor. It needs to be 15k off . . .

I think the is350 sales in NY isnt that hot considering the fact every IS I see is a is250 AWD...people here are so caught up with awd that they dont even show the is350 in showrooms.. that might be a reason why the is350 arent selling so well here and maybe thats why they are practically giving them out for alot less...

That car was a special order that didn't materialize. Park assist and headlight washers just don't show up - someone had to ask for them. Given everything we've heard, it sounds like you got an incredible deal. It would be interesting to know "the rest of the story" but the dealer isn't going to tell you. It's really weird that it has RE92s on it - I thought those only came on the AWD - and they are absolute crap tires.

Maybe this was a special order where the customer backed out and forfeited a deposit? In any case, congrats on an awesome deal, and welcome to Club Lexus.

Trading cars in is the worst thing you can do since you get low balled in 2 areas. Don't forget he wont give you market value for your vehicle cause he still has to make money on it so your down there already. Then obviously he wont sell you the new one cheaper either cause he has to make money there as well

Dealer - 2
You - Nada
