What to use to protect finish on black car?

What to use to protect finish on black car?
I am going to pickup my new Black is350 tomorrow, but there is one problem. I am not too familar with waxing/claybarring cars. I don't want to do anything that is going to take hours, I just want a nice simple wax that will protect the finish from fading. A couple people have told me good old fashion turtle wax or finish 2001. What do you guys think?
