Default New IS250 owner here...couple of questions

Hello All,
Just bought my new 07 IS250 AWD lastnight. Lovin it!!!! My options include:
Smoky Granite Mica
Navi (Non ML)
HID/AFS lights
"Premium Package"
Preferred Accessory Package
Rear Lip Spoiler

MSRP=$39,427
Paid=$34,303

Question 1) I noticed that the car had 230 miles when I left the parking lot of the dealership. Didn't notice this until I left. Should I be concerned about this?

2) There seems to be A LOT of heat comming from ashtray area. Does anyone else have this problem?

230 miles is used car territory IMO, I wouldn't worry as to the car itself, but you could have gotten yourself a much better deal had you noticed that at the dealer.

Hello and welcome to Club Lexus!

That sounds like it was test driven, but it's still considered a new car. In any case, it's too late to do anything/worry about it now. Just go out and enjoy driving it!

I noticed my ashtray is kind of warm as well. If you are worried about it you can go back to dealership and have them check things out for ya.

230mi = Demo car, when ppl come in and they go for a test drive, loaner, OR some car a dealer uses for some reason or other. Nothing to worry about with a 250 especially if its an auto. UNLESS ppl were neutral droppin it... which i seriously doubt.

Neways, nice car, wheres the pics? Don't feel bad cuz its stock, we love stock to full VIP custom and everything inbetween.

I'm not 100% sure if this was a demo car since it was stored on their storage lot 10 min. aways. They had about 7 different IS250 at the dealership, mine wasn't there.

Check when your production date was. Figure out when it was made and it should give you an idea of how old your car really is.

Also, since you bought it last night, if you're in CA you have 2 days to return it as long as it has less than 150 miles on it. So think about it and make a decision.

Did you pay $34,303 OTD?

Yes, that price was OTD. I live in N. VA and Lexus dealerships around here aren't very nice at all, there are only two in my area. I can find the production date on the door, correct?

1) They could have given you a demo car, but i'm not sure, so you should ask.
2) there IS heat coming from the ashtray, but not a lot like you had specified.

Yes, it's by the driver side in the bottom panel. Search online for return policy when it comes to automobiles in your state if your that worried about it. It seems like a good price but it could also because of the mileage it has. You can actually ask the dealership if it's a demo car and they'd have to tell you. Their not required to say anything unless asked to my understanding.

$34,303 OTD seems like a really great deal if it's AWD and with Nav. I suspect they already discounted it due to the miles.

Thanks, they did offer me $35,939 before I told them that the "other" dealership had offer me less.
