Hi all,
My friend who currently resides in San Fran, CA(nothern CA) would like to purchase an either 2007 or 2008 IS250 RWD Manual with no additional option.
a few questions:
a) what is the best OTD(out the door) price that anyone in this region has purchased? if so, what dealer? name/salesman would be appreciated(PM) is good too.
b) should i get the 2007 model and save a $$$ since it is the beginning of the new model year? Or purchase the 2008 model?
Any and all thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Just FYI, I do not believe Lexus imports the IS250 6MT with no options to NorCal. When I was shopping for mine, I heard multiple times from multiple dealers that they are all either silver or black, with 18" wheels and Xenon headlights. Every unit I saw was equipped as described.
If he/she can find a 2007 6MT, your friend would probably be able to get a better deal on it. Don't know if there are any left around, though....it didn't seem like dealers here got that many to begin with.

Just make sure your friend gets HID's as an option (if its not standard already), trust me. Better to add it to the price of your under warrenty car than pay for a kit latter that may or may not give you trouble, not to mention the hassles of install/chance of condensation due to a non tight fitting grommet.
*thats not saying it will give problems for you guys that have no problems and will comment by saying 'i have no problems'*
