Default Someone called me a poser

...and I laughed.

This one really picky guy over on the Celica forums calls me a poser for choosing a "slow" IS250 as compared to my old Celica which was "so much faster" (yea right.) He thinks that I'm a poser for choosing a car based on looks, comfort and convenience.

So if that's what makes me a "poser", then so be it.

The maturity going from that forum to here is a whole world of difference.

Haha. That's funny, so according to him, speed is the only reason to buy a car? If that's the reason, why is he driving a Celica? He should be driving a Porsche or Ferrari.

Better to be thought of as a poser than a 'hoser', I always say . . .

The guy is just a really opinionated jack a**, that's all. Not sure how old he is, maybe upper 20's or lower 30's. He doesn't drive a Celica anymore because he thinks that all Toyota's have the worst driving experience or whatever.

I just thought it was funny and stupid to call someone a poser for buying a car that was way more practical for daily driving and has more comfort and convenience that you could ever need.

Once I'm richer and not one year out of college then sure I'll have my little fun car on the side So I guess in the meantime, I'm a poser!

He's just hating because he's jealous. I don't want to sound snobby but you know if he could get an IS, he would. Just ignore him, he'll probably grow outta his phase and get an SUV or a (Lexus) sedan eventually. Anyways, you're the one enjoying the new ride and comfort while he's still hating in his "ultra fast" Celica.

As I grow older, I think there's more things that I prefer like comfort and looks rather than speed. Just my $.02. So just disregard what he says, to each its own.

why I buy 250 6MT:

1. only 250 has 6MT
2. Luxury
3. Enough power for my daily commute....

surely celica is nice...but it's missing #2

A poser is someone who pretends to be something that he isn't.

In the context of car ownership, if someone were to rebadge an IS250 as an IS350, or an IS350 as an IS-F, I think they could justifiably be called a poser.

Jealously hits people hard sometimes and I guess he should look into some kind of pills. Send him a link to come here I'd love to see what he has to say to the REST of the 250 owners.
