Is 08' IS Going to have Sport Package ??

Is 08' IS Going to have Sport Package ??
I've been looking at the inventory of our local Lexus dealer (CT) and when using the "Build your own IS" option, only LUX packages come up. Anyone have any more information ??

sport packages are probably not allocated to your region, possibly meaning a special order or out of state sale if you can find a car you want with the sport package
the lexus website knows what options are normally allocated from the zipcode you enter

yes, the 08 still has the sport package. The thing is that when you use the "build my IS" and you put your zip code it will only show the packages or "allocations" that are available in your area. In other words your are doesn't get sport package, unless you special order. Also try to work with your local dealer maybe they can find a sport package and swap the car with another dealer

You are incorrect. According to my local dealer the Sport Package is an option that will be available in the '08 IS250. My '07 IS have this package and wouldn't consider getting any other package not even the Luxury Package. I love the sport tuned suspension, the metal pedals, the illuminated scuff plates, the aggressive look of the car with the half inch lowered suspension, the rims, among other things. Since 2006 when the IS was release I have only seen 2 of this cars with this pack. and none are obsidian black like mine. So I am pretty unique here in my area.

Sport Package is for those who don't have a real desire for wood in their Sports Sedan! Either leave it as it comes from the factory, or put some Carbon Fibre trim on it. It's all good ......

You will only find this package 2 ways..:
1) Special Order -> wait 2-3 months when done right
or
2) If your lucky you might find a cancelled special order sitting in dealership inventory (very rare)
There is NOT a single region across the USA that will show a Sport Package allocation for a certain zip code.

Well, you ought to break the news to Lexus.com, joe, because, as was mentioned, the official site shows Sport Package as being IS350 only. Interestingly, the X-Package without Sunroof option package, that another thread around here said was no more, now is expanded (at least on lexus.com) to all 2IS variants.
