No, the sensors are programmed to your car's computer. As long as they are in a pressurized environment, and they are in close proximity to your car, they are happy. All you have to do is reset them after you have placed them in your aftermarket wheels. Any tire shop can switch them to your aftermarket wheels. No need to go to the dealer.
