No more than half the other cars out there too. I have mistaken the back end from the side of a new corolla and elantra for an IS as well. All cars kinda look alike these days guys. Check out the newest version of the coupe accord, the coupe altima and the coupe g37. From the side the all look alike to me.

Does anybody see a little of Acura TL in there too?

Also doesn't the new Accord look like the current Sonata?

I do see some similarities, just like how Lexus and Toyota have the "bangle butt" trunk lids from BMW. If I was looking for a car in that price range, I would definitely consider it.

It doesn't look like an IS. If anything the IS looks like a mazda 3. At least that's what people said about the IS when it first got revealed. The new 6 looks better than better than all the new current lexus cars except for the IS in my opinion, and has a strong family resemblence to all their other cars. With elements from the RX8 and Mazda3 and that's how it should be. I'm impressed with the styling of the 6 so much that I'm really considering to be my next car alongside my IS. To the people dissing Mazda if anything Lexus can learn a thing or two from Mazda when it comes to handling.

I need to say this: People you do not need to write IMO or IMHO or in my opinion when stating your opinion. Everything is opinion unless you are writing a research paper or quoting facts. When you state a preference it is implied that it is your opinion. What do people think that if they like the color blue it is something other than an opinion? Sorry to rant it has been on my mind lately. An English teacher in college told me this a long long time ago.

That's kind of a pathetic thing to get worked up about, imo.

Actually the truth is that when the IS350 came out it looked very much like the factory supped up version of the existing 6 series. I even had people ask mne if it was the Mazda 6 when I first got it.

The sport wagon has Lexus GS roofline while the sedan has the Lexus IS back. The front has the last generation Solara especially around the fenders and the Lexus IS elevated hood.

But, damn they even copied the push start button. It is identical to the Lexus/Toyota push start button.

Still a great looking car (the sedan, the sport wagon tail looks weird). Mazda is making some great looking cars these days.

There are so many differences between the two, most notably the center emblem. It's a freakin Lexus!
