It does have a few similarities at certain angles, but so do many other cars. Heck I always thought our 2IS looked a bit like the Mazda 3 in the rear at first glance. I think the main picture in that article with the angle they use enhances the similarity with the IS350. The side view like below shows just how little they resemble each other.

I see some similarities. But what strikes me the most is that it's a great-looking car. Mazda afficianados are no doubt crossing their fingers that the US model looks nearly the same. It would be a shame if it doesn't... I fear another case of the States getting a watered-down version.

Yeah it sure does. Check out the new Lancer commercial. Even the electronics are the same. Steering wheel shifters, central info display showing gears, etc.
