Default picked up my is350 yesterday...

So I finally picked up my 2006 is350 last nite, got a few questions that needs to be answered...

didnt the traction control on/off button became available in the 2007 model? if so, how come mine has it?

How do I turn off park assist??

Is there a way to also turn off the auto dimmer for the side mirrors?

What are your experiences with the Bridgestone RE050? good / bad? wet traction? dry?

thanks all

the TRAC off button isnt the traction control button, in the 07 it has a different symbol (a car with skid marks behind it) on the TRAC button

Congrats. Pictures, or it didn't happen.

The 2006 has the button, but traction control is automatically re-enabled as soon as you reach 30 MPH. What was added in the '07 was the ability to hold the button in for a number of seconds to switch traction control off without automatic re-engagement until the next time the car is restarted. You can achieve the same thing in your '06 by using the pedal dance (see the FAQ posting for details)

How do I turn off park assist??
Use the control panel that looks like this < O > to the left of the steering wheel.

$35k for a loaded 350 is really unbelievable. Over here in CA you can only get a new 250 with that price or a used 350.
