Default Brake TSIB, couple questions before getting it done

Called my dealership, talked to the service tech about break dust, he said no problem, and will book an appointment for me for the TSIB service, and change my pads. I asked him if he will change the rotors also, he said no. However, I've seen a few members here got there rotors changed as well, free of charge. I'm only concerned that if they change the brake pads only, and not the rotors, will my braking system rattle that make the steering wheel shake or any other affects? I have about 12,000 Miles on my car. Thanks guys

They didnt change my rotors and they only difference I have noticed in the 3k miles that I have had the new brake pads is that my rims stay clean forever now!

They didn't charge me for new rotors.

If you're not feeling any system rattle or shaking at your steering wheel right now, your rotors are probably fine. Changing the brakes doesn't require a change of rotors.

At 12K miles he just may need the rotors to be machined(cut).
I had 20K miles and the rotors needed to be cut at a ridiculous cost of $200.
I sent my dealer's service manager an email on how other dealers gave people rotors and free machining.
Also added some other problems I had with the service dept.
Got a call this morning from myservice manager. He will get back to me later today on some kind of compensation after he talks to the service manager.
Probably a free oil change which I won't use because I go with synthetic Amsoil.
Bottom line islexboi should not be passive and insist on free machining or new rotors.

do they change just the front brakes or all 4 brakes? Yeah, I hope they change my rotors too, but I highly doubt that.

He has nothing to lose.
He'll still get the pads.

Machining is a waste of good metal. They didn't do it to mine, and I wouldn't want them to. It will only reduce service life and provides no real benefit to anyone except Lexus because you'll be back for rotors sooner than later.

I have about 31k on my car and have about 3 or 4 mm left on the pads, should I even bother getting the TSIB? Do you think they will say anything about it?

They insisted that my rotors needed to be machined unitl I asked them to mount a runout gauge on the rotor and give me the runout measuerment...got a call back later saying that the rotors were fine...I knew that. Point is IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT
