Called my dealership, talked to the service tech about break dust, he said no problem, and will book an appointment for me for the TSIB service, and change my pads. I asked him if he will change the rotors also, he said no. However, I've seen a few members here got there rotors changed as well, free of charge. I'm only concerned that if they change the brake pads only, and not the rotors, will my braking system rattle that make the steering wheel shake or any other affects? I have about 12,000 Miles on my car. Thanks guys

I had 20K miles and the rotors needed to be cut at a ridiculous cost of $200.
I sent my dealer's service manager an email on how other dealers gave people rotors and free machining.
Also added some other problems I had with the service dept.
Got a call this morning from myservice manager. He will get back to me later today on some kind of compensation after he talks to the service manager.
Probably a free oil change which I won't use because I go with synthetic Amsoil.
Bottom line islexboi should not be passive and insist on free machining or new rotors.

Machining is a waste of good metal. They didn't do it to mine, and I wouldn't want them to. It will only reduce service life and provides no real benefit to anyone except Lexus because you'll be back for rotors sooner than later.

They insisted that my rotors needed to be machined unitl I asked them to mount a runout gauge on the rotor and give me the runout measuerment...got a call back later saying that the rotors were fine...I knew that. Point is IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT
