HID D4S bulbs that work???
Im sure someone has had success finding a GOOD D4S bulb that works with our cars... So far Ive tried the Xenon Velot route and have had 2 sets fail just over their warrantee period ($500 down the drain). Recently I ordered a set of 8000k Bulbs ($125) from www.iJDMTOY.com and after installing them they dont fire up right away. I need to turn them on and off 3-4 times before they fire up .
All Im looking for is a set of aftermarket D4S bulbs that WORK. Preferably 8000k or white with a tinge of blue (just as long as it isnt white white).
Thanks

Way back in the day when iJDMtoys was MotoringMax i purchased a set of 8000k D4S bulbs off of ebay. Received them, popped them in, worked fine.....3 days later the driver side light starts flickering then just goes completely out. I check the connection and i find that the bulb completely melted the socket because the little plug in the middle was too short so it was arcing (spelling?). I contacted MM and he gave me a refund and said he would get a set of bulbs that would not damage my socket. He eventually sent another set and not only did it not work, but it ended up melting the passenger side socket, so i was w/o either lights. I contacted MM again and he said that he could fix it by giving me a D2 HID kit and installing it.......which is complete bull and makes no sense. Next he said he was going to try to find replacement sockets for my car. I sent him a link to an ebay auction selling 2 HID ballasts + plugs from an IS350 for $150, but he declined to buy them. He then came back and said he could not find plugs to replace mine.....but was willing to give me $150 to buy the pair off ebay.......mind you i sent him the link to the auction 2 WEEKS BEFORE, so it had been long gone, so $150 would serve me no good cuz all the other ones on ebay start at like $400. I emailed him that saying its going to cost a lot more to replace them now and hes gonna have to send more money.....and now he has decided to stop responding.......so if he doesnt respond within the next week or so im gonna take some very serious action....so now ive got 2 melted sockets....no working headlights.....
Funny thing is is that I know where the guy who ive been talkin to @ MM/iJDMtoys lives.....so I might be paying him a visit....

Thanks everyone for the replys. I will have those bulbs removed from my car ASAP... and ask for a full refund. I really like the 8000K temp color but may have to settle for 6000K.

So would you guys suggest i go with their 6000K bulbs. It sems as though a few people are running those without any problems.
Right now I plan on getting a good set when I go to Japan in Feb. SO I just need a set that will last me till then. =)
