Default One month later, still bad gas mileage

Hey, so I've almost had my IS250 for a month now. I just broke in to 1000 miles today and wanted to check my tank avg. It was around 17mpg. It shouldnt be this way.

Do i have to wait like 3000 miles for it to average out to >20mpg?

it all depends on the driving conditions, and your habits. I drive mostly city and in my 06 gs300 get around 17-19 !! when i do highway, i go up around 30!

lol 18, somtimes i go below 16 n that makes me really sad. but humm, i think what he's worried about is that he drives a is250 =/ so he's getting worst millage than ur 350. but ya, like every one else says its all about how u drive. i always make sure to turn power mode off in city. i think that helps a bit

I get 20.7 mpg. Usually short trips in city. Highway trips are the exception. I have 1345 miles run on it.

Do you do a lot of short trips? I've found that even more than traffic, short trips will drive down mileage. The IS is very thirsty while it's warming up.

I drive almost all stop and go going to work and rarely hit the highway. I'm getting 22-25mpg. For the tank I had the power turned on, I was getting the 22. Make sure you're putting in premium fuel, at least 91.

I do 30/70 city/highway and I usually get around 23mpg. It used to be better but since I had 20s my mpg decrease. I don't drive my car hard though. If you want good MPG in the city, drive in snow mode .

Driving to school is only 6 miles for me, so I get 17 mpg usually, but have spiked it up to 34 on the freeway with the tank avg. Overall avg for me is just 22.

I usually average about 18.4 mpg with the ac on and a heavy foot, driving conditions are like 70% highway and 30% city with no warming up.
