Here is an update... The clear bra has already saved me more than 1/2 dozen times from rock chips on the bumper, hood, heads & fog lights.. as i can see the impact zones on the bra from the bigger rocks...
Worth every penny.!!

Is it OK to get the car detailed right before getting the clear bra? Or should I wait X amount of time before having it done?
And is it just me, or does the paint on the IS chip very easily? I never had as many paint chips on my VW in 4 years as I have in the 1 1/2 years I've had my IS.

My car was at the delearship for less then 12 hours when it came off the truck ...
It also had NO dealer prep... Just the PDI process..

i was told by the guys from Lexus who touch up your paint if you get that package when you purchase your car that when rocks hit it, it will begin to tear and look like total ****.......

The stuff they use at aerotect is what they use to clearbra private planes and jets. So if it can take a rock/debris/birds at 300mph im sure it'll survive on the freeway at 80mph. My bumpers been pelted by road debris and it's still good as new. My headlight overlay is a testament to the vinyl doing its job to save my headlight from being completely smashed by a chunk of tire.
