Wow, that is absolutely astounding! The first photo is amazing. I like how there is some contrast and balance throughout the background and foreground.

Actually I prayed for some crazy weather that day and it came true!
Adobe CS3 was used. I tried Photomatix b/c the tutorial was using it... that one turned out ugly.

Very nice photos. The first one is amazing with the contrast from the clouds. Imagine what it would look like with some lightning flashes?
