how much custom modification to the bumper had to be done to install them? i'm thinking about buying them but i keep hearing that the bumper needs to be modified to fit the JDM unit.

you just need to cut the holes bigger... there is a line on the inside of the bumper that shows what needs to be cut. it comes with a metal template that shows you what needs to be cut as well.

template... the plastic inside the template needs to be cut away.

the line showing you where to cut.

i used a box cutter to slice away the plastic. it wasn't pretty but u can't see it once you put the garnish on the outside.

I hate you Darren . It looks good! I'm sure it's a great feeling without having to drive with the fog lights on again . I'll have to check it out it person.

no... i wish it did tho cuz the fogs don't fit securely... they kinda rattle/jiggle when you hit big bumpbs. the only thing holding them in is the 2 holes in that big tab (what the original fogs were held in by) and a screw on a small bracket on the other side.

Wow! You guys are sure brave to tackle the jdm install yourself without instructions. The end result looks well worth it though. Looks sweeeetttt!!!!!!! I like how the DRLs are incorporated in the fogs. Very unique indeed. Your IS will definitely stand out at night and day.

so could you tap into your DRL lights if they are not turned off? or do you need to run that switch?

How about the cutting of the bumper, can you see anything or does the casing cover it up!

i guess you could tap into your drl lights but i dunno what would happen when you try to use your high beams tho. i opted to use the switch so i can turn the drl on n off whenever i want.

the exterior garnish/bezel covers up the hacking you did to the bumper.

What drl bulbs you have in your headlight? So your highbeam doesn't work?
