I was sad to know that the lid didnt pop up when release. If its allowed to exist in the Camry, why not Lexus?

Hope someone can come up with a work-around.

I must say that the resistance when opening is a bother. It probably contributes to the fact that it doesn't pop 3-5 inches open. The same thing was on the my previous car, the Jetta. It annoyed me to no ends. Yes, I was disappointed that I had to live through the horror again.
