you know in Macau there are so many Accord Euro R (Manual) which is the Sport ver of the TSX! Also there are Type S (Auto) too... I could tell you that they are just an ordinarily JDM car no way they can compare with our IS! At any way!!

I'd disagree with you a bit here. I originally set out to buy the 250 but because of some freak chance I ended up with a 350. I don't think I'd have anything to say had I gotten the 250 I wanted. However, after commuting in this beast of a 350 for 8 months, I have to say that I don't know how I'd deal with the lack of 100 hp. I cruise when I want to but about 40% I put the extra ponies to hard work and still average 23 mpg. It may not be impressive compared to some of you averaging 30+ in the 250, but then again, how many 300 hp cars out there will net you 23-25mpg while still allowing you to flog it? There's not a day that goes by without hearing the song of the beautiful engine note.

For the most part, I do wish that the 250 would get a bump in hp. Lexus/Toyota ought to be more forward looking. The 250 came on board with 200 hp and when compared to the TSX and old C230, of course it will match or better them. Lets not forget that those cars were well due for a redesign. IMO, the 250 should have debutted with a 3.0L V6 pumping at least 240 -260 hp, correctly targetting the 2006 330i I-6 producing 255 hp.
That would have been a reasonable attempt, don't you think?

yeah i wouldnt complain about an extra 50 hp or so... then it could actually live up to it's name. as it stands the cars should be named IS200 and IS300.

One car that hasn't been discussed that I am considering is the Infiniti G35X. I want an AWD car and it is disappointing that for the same price as an IS250 AWD, I can get a G35X that has 306 hp. Unfortunately, I don't like the exterior styling of the Infiniti but I test drove one and it was so nice to have that kind of power with AWD. The IS250 I test drove felt so slow and b/c of the AWD, it felt a lot slower than my IS300 after 60 mph. Too bad the IS350 doesn't have AWD but if it did, it would then be $10k more than the G35X which wouldn't make sense either.

Oh well, I guess if I get the IS250 I will have to live with a great looking/expensive car that is slower than a V6 Accord.

The G35x isn't being discussed since it's not on the same class as the IS250, power-wise. Although it is in the same price as the IS250, hp-wise, the IS250 just can't compete.
