Default Need definitive answer, will the 18s from the rear fit up front ??

Does anyone know for certain if 18 x 8.5s with offset of 50 (meaning rear rims) fit the front of an IS without problems ???? I ask in considering 18 x8.5s all around fitted with 245 40 18s.... has anyone done a rotation to see if the fit works ????

Sizewise they will fit, however, since the rear wheels have a different offset, they might not clear the brakes. I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think that's what will happen.

The offset is +50 vs +45, i think that should increase the caliper clearance no ????

They will not fit. When I was researching offsets for my wheels, I took off the front and put the rear (with the 255/40/18) wheel up there. The tire was rubbing on the spindle.

You would have to go with a very skinny tire (probably 215's or skinnier) to have a chance.

I have 235/40's on an 8.5" wheel that has a +40 and I can barely squeeze my pointer finger between the tire and the spindle.

You're going the wrong way. The higher the number, the further the wheel is sunk into the well.

Like al503 said, this will not work on the IS350. Not sure about a IS250 or your GS300, since the calipers & discs are smaller . . .

The rim will work, but the tire is too wide.
